Isabella and Gabriella Shipley were born in 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Clementina and Michael Shipley. Their parents come from mixed African American families: their mother has fair skin, and their father has dark skin.
The girls were born just minutes apart, but even at the maternity ward, doctors noticed their different skin tones.
