These Siamese twin sisters were born joined at the chest and shared a liver, intestines, and other vital organs 😲 In addition, each of the sisters had only one leg 😱
When they were only 6 months old, doctors decided to separate the sisters. The operation lasted 18 hours, but doctors managed to successfully separate them. 😍 Today, the sisters are 3 years old. Are you wondering what twins look like after so many years? If so, photos of the sisters after separation were shown in the first comment 👇👇

In Northern Ireland, the Bateson family was waiting for a miracle, which they had been working towards for many years. After infertility treatment, the parents’ dream came true – their long-awaited daughters were to be born.
But joy quickly mixed with anxiety: doctors reported that the girls were Siamese twins, connected from the chest to the pelvis.
On the ultrasound screen, the expectant mother saw two hearts. Annabelle and Isabel shared a liver, intestines, bladder, and one leg between them.
Each had their own “own” leg, but their bodies were so tightly intertwined that even experienced surgeons could not immediately say whether it was possible to separate them safely.

The birth took place in March 2022 at the University Hospital London. Immediately after birth, the girls were transferred to one of the best children’s hospitals in the UK.
There, doctors began a long preparation for the operation, because it was necessary not only to “separate” the bodies, but to ensure that each of the sisters could live and develop independently.
Months passed. The medical team studied images, 3D models of organs and blood vessels, trained on virtual simulations.
In September 2022, the day came that was both feared and awaited. More than thirty specialists gathered in two neighboring operating rooms to perform a multi-hour operation.

After eighteen hours of intense work, Annabelle and Isabelle found themselves on separate tables for the first time. Each had one of their own legs left. Despite the loss, both were alive.
Ahead were weeks of intensive care, dozens of bandages and additional surgeries. In total, the girls have undergone about twenty surgeries since birth.
Today, Annabelle and Isabelle are growing up like ordinary sisters. They have different personalities: Annabelle is more talkative, loves attention and adores singing, and Isabelle is calmer, but very active and persistent.
They undergo physiotherapy courses, learn to use special orthoses and are preparing for the installation of prostheses.
