This woman once weighed 300 kg at the age of 31 😢. Because of her excess weight, she couldn’t get pregnant or have children, so she had to lose weight 😨. In five years, she lost almost 230 kg and immediately became a mother of three children 😲.

In 2012, Melissa held the infamous title of the heaviest woman in the world. She was only 31 years old, and her weight reached almost 300 kg. She dreamed of becoming a mother—but felt like a prisoner of her own body.

Every movement cost her enormous effort. She could barely move her legs and realized that soon she would no longer be able to walk at all.

In her youth, Melissa never imagined she’d become the heaviest woman in the world.

She didn’t even remember being thin. Since childhood, food had been her comfort and joy. Her parents spoiled her without thinking about the consequences of this permissiveness.

At 18, Melissa already weighed 120 kg. But at the time, it didn’t seem like a problem to her: she remained active, happy, and surrounded by friends. Moreover, men liked her and felt attractive.

At 22, she met Chris. He truly loved her, and her excess weight didn’t bother him. By then, Melissa already weighed 150 kg. They quickly married, dreaming of a big family.

But years passed without a pregnancy. The doctors were unanimous: at that weight, she would neither get pregnant nor carry a pregnancy to term.

It was a shock for Melissa. She realized she could no longer stay in that body. After much deliberation, she decided to undergo surgery—the surgeons removed part of her stomach.

When Melissa woke up from the anesthesia, she experienced a strange sensation: for the first time in her life, she wasn’t hungry. Her portion sizes shrank drastically: at one meal, she could only eat 100 milliliters, and she often even left leftovers.

Her weight began to drop rapidly. In three years, Melissa lost 200 kg, then another 30 kg over the next two. In total, she lost 230 kg and reached an incredible 62 kg!

Everything changed. She learned to love herself in a new way. She managed to regain her health, and most importantly, Melissa became a mother. Three times. Her dream had come true.

This incredible story has inspired many people. In his honor, a food addiction support project was created, which has helped dozens of “fat people” overcome their fears and illnesses — and start a new life.
